Inspiring Digital for Care Home Activity Coordinators - 7th March 2024

Digital Communities Wales is delighted to let you know about a free online Inspiring Digital event that we are running for Care Home Activity Coordinators, and anyone working with older people on Thursday 7th March from 2.00 p.m. – 4.00 p.m.

There are so many wellbeing benefits of digital for care home residents. Digital Communities Wales are the experts in helping care staff to develop the skills and confidence to have fun with digital.  This FREE session for Activity Coordinators, and anyone working with older people, will introduce you to some of the wonderful things you can do online to benefit the lives of those you care for. Whether it’s having fun and games online, being creative with digital art and music, walking with dinosaurs using VR, or exploring memories through reminiscence apps, there is something for everyone in this session. Plus, we will be looking at digital tools for non-Welsh speakers to help you easily engage with Welsh speaking residents. You don’t need to be a digital expert - this session is for everyone, including digital beginners. Plus, everyone who attends will receive ideas and links to help you put into action what you have learned.

During the session we will be looking at the following topics:

  • Digital Reminiscence Bike
  • Virtual Reality VR
  • Reminiscence Activities
  • Digital Art & Music
  • Digital Fun & Games
  • Digital Tools to Support People Living with Dementia
  • Digital Tools for Non-Welsh Speaker
