Sub Groups
Practice Review Management Group (PRMG)
The Social Services and Well Being (Wales) Act 2014, states that the Regional Safeguarding Board must arrange for an Adult or Child Practice Review to be held where abuse or neglect of an adult or child is known or expected and the adult or child has:
- Died
- Sustained potentially life threatening injury or
- Sustained serious and permanent impairment of health
The purpose of the review will be to identify if there is any learning for future practice and to promote future improvements in relation to inter-agency protection practice. Learning events are held which will include professionals who had involvement with the adult or child and/or family.
The Practice Review Management Group will be the platform from which these reviews will be undertaken on behalf of the West Glamorgan Safeguarding Board
Quality & Performance Management Group (QPMG)
The Quality & Performance Management Group will review the efficacy of measures taken by the Board partners and bodies represented on the Board, by seeking assurances that quality mechanisms (audits, supervision, management oversight, complaints and compliments etc) to respond to areas of improvement needed and highlight on good practice.
Policy, Procedure & Practice Management Group (PPPMG)
The Policy, Procedure & Practice Management Group has a key role in ensuring that effective policies and working practices are in place to protect children and adults and that they are properly co-ordinated.
Joint Strategic Training Management Group
The Joint Strategic Training Management Group promotes learning which leads to improved practice in safeguarding and are accountable to the West Glamorgan Safeguarding Board (WGSB). It provides support in the requirements placed upon them in assuring the availability of appropriate training and multi-agency training amongst Board partners.
Joint Communication and Engagement Group
This sub-group has been established in order to enable the effective delivery of key messages and awareness raising around issues of Safeguarding.
