Terrace of ten homes on Cyfyng Road
Owners of properties on Cyfyng Road, Pantteg, Ystalyfera, who have been served with Emergency Prohibition Orders (EPOs) requiring them to re-locate following fresh landslips have been given an update on geological conditions beneath the houses.
The owners and representatives of owners together with local action group members had a two hour face-to-face meeting with Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council officials at the Ystalyfera Development Trust building on Wednesday.
At the meeting, details were released of the very latest results from a borehole sunk in Cyfyng Road which gave an insight into conditions beneath the homes subject to EPOs.
Council officials provided owners with longitudinal and cross sections of the land beneath the terrace. It was also agreed to provide them with a copy of the accompanying report when it was finalised as this should assist owners when dealing with their insurers.
