Would you like to get involved in the project?
We have a number of volunteering opportunities available including helping us to survey wildlife, assisting with conservation tasks and supporting at events. Our volunteer days usually take place throughout the year, although summer tends to be busier. Check out our events calendar for upcoming activity.
Inclusivity is important to us and we wish for everyone to feel they can get involved, so we therefore offer activities at each of our Community Wild Spaces that are situated in or around communities in the upper Afan and Rhondda Fawr Valleys. Or if you fancy some real wilderness, you can join us up in the peatlands at our Habitat Restoration Areas.
All equipment to carry out tasks will be provided by the project, as well as Personal Protective Equipment (e.g. waterproofs and footwear) should you need it. We can also provide travel expenses for our volunteers that travel up to our Habitat Restoration Areas.
Please contact us if you would like further information or have a particular skill you can offer the project. We are also very interested to hear from you if you have anything you can tell us about your local landscape.
It is so important that the history, traditions, past use and memories of this area are not lost. We would love to hear from you If you have something you would like to share with us or are from a local group who can support us with collecting this information.
